The authorized user is the type of user that is not responsible for paying the credit card bill, even though he or she has the permission to use the card account to its full extent. This user differs form the ones that are in a joint credit, meaning that both parties are obligated to pay the bill. Sometimes the person who is to be named an authorized user will get a credit card in his or her name, even though the card is linked to a different person’s account.
