What does Fraud alert mean?
Fraud alert is the process preventing unauthorized use of the credit card. It is also known as “credit freeze”, and basically whichever issuer you have an account with, you can ask for the placing of fraud alert. What the fraud alert supposes, is that for example each time a bank account is about to be opened having your personal data as primal dates for it, you are going to be contacted each time by the issuer/creditor, so that you do/do not authorize the opening of that account. Any time you contract a credit, it is a very good safety issue if you contact the fraud department of the respective issuer and ask for a fraud alert to be attached to your files. |
