What does Processing Date mean?
In terms of credit card related terminology, the processing date is the date at which a transaction occurs. More specifically, it is the date at which your actual transaction appears in the book records of the acquirer bank. If you have a look attentively at a credit card statement for example, you will notice there will be a separate tab displayed for “trans date” (actual transaction date), and “post date” (the date your transaction reached the records of the issuing bank), and there you can track these dates. There is a difference between the two dates, because you may have made the purchase today, but the actual transaction will show only1 or 2 days later for example.
