What does Sales Draft mean?

When you pay for a product/service using the credit card payment method, there will always be a sales draft which will prove the respective transaction. When you pick up a product for which you have paid using your credit card, you usually have to apply your signature on the sales draft. Moreover, there are usually two copies of a sales draft, one being retained by the merchant, and one will be handed on to you.
